Bear Pom Pom

VIDEO TUTORIAL

Materials:

  • 4 mm crochet hook
  • Worsted weight yarn
  • I used: El gato expres
  • Brown
  • Skin color
  • White
  • Black for nose and eyebrows
  • Pom Pom maker 35 mm
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch Marker
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Fiberfill or stuffing of choice
  • Finished size about 26 cm tall
  • Using similar yarn

Abbreviations:

  • MR= magic ring
  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
  • dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
  • st (s) = stitches
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • rep = repeat
  • * * = repeat work between asterisks as indicated
  • (  ) = number of stitches you should have at the end of your round

 

NOTE:

  • Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker

 

PATTERN

ARMS MAKE (2) BROWN YARN 

 1.- Start 4 sc in a magic ring (4)

2.- inc in each st around (8)

3 – 14.- sc in each st around (8)

15.- fold the arm and make 3 sc

both sides together to close.

 

EARS MAKE (2)

STAR WITH SKIN COLOR

1.- 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2.- *1 sc, inc* rep 3 times (9)

3.- inc in each st. around (18)

CHANGE TO BROWN YARN

4-5.-  sc in each st around (18)

CHANGE TO SKIN COLOR

6.- *dec, 1 sc * rep 6 times (12)

CHANGE TO BROWN YARN

7.-  sc in each st around (12)

fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing

 

LEGS MAKE (2) BROWN YARN

 1.- 5 sc in a magic ring (5)

2.- inc in each st around (10)

3 – 15.- sc in each st around (10)

Do not cut the yarn after you have finished the

Second leg, stuff firmly.

CH 4 now join the legs together place your stitch marker in the first sc

 

16.- sc in each st around (28)

17.- *13 sc, inc* rep 2 times (30)

18.- sc in each st around (30)

19.- *4 sc, inc* rep 6 times (36)

20 – 21.- sc in each st around (36)

22.- *4 sc, dec* rep 6 times (30)

23.- sc in each st around (30)

24.- *3 sc, dec* rep 6 times (24)

25.- sc in each st around (24)

26.- *2 sc, dec* rep 6 times (18)

27.- sc in each st around (18)

28.- 3 sc, we place the arm to join the body

Through the 4 strands and we make 3 sc, continued with 6 sc

Place the second arm and make 3 sc and finish the round with 3 sc (18)

 

 

29.- *1 sc, dec* rep 6 times (12)

¡Start stuffing as you go!

30.- sc in each st around (12)

31.- *1 sc, inc* rep 6 times (18)

32.- *2 sc, inc* rep 6 times (24)

33.- *3 sc, inc* rep 6 times (30)

34.- *4 sc, inc* rep 6 times (36)

35 – 42.- sc in each st around (36)

  • Sew eyes on round  40. 4 sts apart.
  • Sew eyebrows round 41
  • ¡Start stuffing as you go!

43.- *4 sc, dec* rep 6 times (30)

44.- *3 sc, dec* rep 6 times (24)

45.- *2 sc, dec* rep 6 times (18)

46.- *1 sc, dec* rep 6 times (12)

47.- * dec * rep 6 times (6)

Stuff firmly fasten off

 

NOSE AND MOUTH / WITHE YARN

1.- 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2.- inc in each st around (12)

3.-  sc in each st around (12)

fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing

SEW THE NOSE WITH BLACK YARN

 

 

TAIL BROWN YARN

1.- 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2.- sc in each st around (6)

fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing

 

 

POM POM MAKER (2)

SKIN COLOR 

With your pom pom maker grab your skin color yarn and wrap around about 50 times each side.

 

Trim the yarn and make a cute little circle

 

CH 40, and sew the pom pom in both sides

 

Wrap around the neck and make a knot.

 

  • Sew mouth between rounds 39 to 35
  • Sew ears between round 41 to 45
  • Sew tail to the back of your bear
