Today we are going to crochet THOR the god of thunder, inspired by Marvel Comics

SKILLS YOU NEED:
- Magic ring, chains, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, invisible decrease, front loop only, back loop only, slip stitch
- How to change yarn color
- Basic sewing and embroidery skills
- How to join parts
MATERIALES:
- Hook N° 4 mm
- Worsted weight acrylic yarn #4
- I used: El gato expres
- Red / 40g. approx.
- Yellow / 40g. approx.
- Blue / 30g approx.
- Light brown / 20g. approx
- Skin color / 50g. approx.
- Grey / 40g. approx.
- Black / 40g. approx.
- White / 20g. approx
- Black super fine yarn to embroider mouth and eyebrows
- 2 (12mm) safety eyes
- yarn needle
- stitch marker
- scissors
- pins
- Fiberfill or stuffing of choice
- Measuring tape
SIZE: Finished size about 28 cm tall using similar yarn
NOTE:
- Choose your favorite worsted weight yarn
- Work in continuous rounds
- Mark the beginning of each round with a stitch marker
- Do not join rounds with a slip stitch or turn unless stated otherwise
- If you normally crochet loosely, you may want to use a smaller hook size to tighten your stitches up
- Start stuffing as you go
ABBREVIATIONS:
- Rnd = Round
- MR= magic ring
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- inc = increase (2 sc in one st)
- dec = decrease (sc 2 together)
- inv dec = invisible decrease
- FLO = front loop only
- BLO = back loop only
- sts (s) = stitches (s)
- sl st = slip stitch
- rep = repeat
- * * = repeat work between asterisks as indicated
- ( ) = number of stitches you should have at the end of your round

PATTERN
ARMS MAKE 2 SKIN COLOR
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- inc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3-4.- 1 sc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 5.- *inv dec, 2 sc* rep 3 times (9)
CHANGE TO RED
Rnd 6.- 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
CHANGE TO BLACK
Rnd 7.- 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
CHANGE TO RED
Rnd 8.- 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
CHANGE TO SKIN COLOR
Rnd 9-12.- 1 sc in each stitch around (9)
Rnd 13.- inv dec, 7 sc (8)
Stuff firmly
Rnd 14.- fold the arm and make 3 sc, both sides together to close.
fasten off and make another one.
LEGS MAKE 2 YELLOW YARN
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- inc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3.- *1 sc, inc* rep 6 times (18)
Rnd 4.- *2 sc, inc* rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 5.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (24)
Rnd 6.- 8 sc, 4 inv dec, 8 sc (20)
Rnd 7.- 6 sc, 4 inv dec, 6 sc (16)
Rnd 8-11.- 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
CHANGE TO BLUE
Rnd 12.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
Rnd 13-15.- 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
Stuff firmly, fasten off .
We are going to continue with yellow yarn in the back side of round # 5
FLO: 1 sc in each chain, sl st in the first sc.
fasten off.
We are going to continue with black yarn in the back side of round # 12
FLO: 5 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2 hdc, 5 sc, sl st in the first sc. Fasten off.
Make a second leg, DO NOT cut the yarn at the end.
BODY
Second leg make 6 sc and chain 3. now join the legs, count 3 sc of the first leg. see picture # 3 , place your stitch marker in the first sc.
Rnd 16.- Make 16 sc, 3 sc over the chain taking only one strand , 16 sc, 3 sc over the chain taking only one strand (38)
CHANGE TO BLACK
Rnd 17-18.- 1 sc in each stitch around (38)
Rnd 19.- * 17 sc, inv dec* rep 2 times (36)
Rnd 20-21.- 1 sc in each stitch around (36)
CHANGE TO YELLOW
Rnd 22.- 1 sc in each stitch around (36)
CHANGE TO BLACK
Rnd 23.- BLO * 4 sc, dec * rep 6 times (30)
Rnd 24-26.- 1 sc in each stitch around (30)
Rnd 27.- * 3 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 28.- 1 sc in each stitch around (24)
Rnd 29.- 6 sc, we place the arm to join the body through the 4 strands and we make 3 sc, continued with 9 sc
Place the second arm and make 3 sc and finish the round with 3 sc (24)

Rnd 32.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (18)
HEAD
Rnd 33.- * 2 sc, inc * rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 34.- * 3 sc, inc * rep 6 times (30)
Rnd 35.- * 4 sc, inc * rep 6 times (36)
Rnd 36.- * 5 sc, inc * rep 6 times (42)
Rnd 37.-* 6 sc, inc * rep 6 times (48)
Rnd 38-46 .- 1 sc in each stitch around (48)
Rnd 47-48.- BLO 20 sc, 14 normal sc, BLO 14 sc (48)
Rnd 49. Place a stitch marker in the first sc. BLO * 6 sc, dec * rep 6 times (42)
¡Start stuffing as you go!
- Place safety eyes between round 44 and 43. 5 stitches apart, in the middle of the 14 normal sc of round 47
With our needle and a long strand of skin color yarn, make one stitch to the sides of each eye. see picture 1 to 8
We push both eyes with our fingers while we carefully pull the yarn with the other hand.
After we have made sure the eyes are a little sunken, we make knots so that it does not come loose.
- Embroider nose between rounds 42 to 41
- Embroider mouth in round 39
- Embroider eyebrows in round 46
Rnd 50.-* 5 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (36)
Rnd 51.-* 4 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (30)
Stuff firmly
Rnd 52.-* 3 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 53.-* 2 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (18)
Rnd 54.-* 1 sc, inv dec * rep 6 times (12)
Rnd 55.- * inv dec * rep 6 times (6)
Stuff firmly, fasten off
EARS MAKE 2 SKIN COLOR
1.- Make 5 sc in a magic ring (5)
We close it in half to form an ear, we make 1 chain and cut leaving a long thread.
- Sew ears between rounds 43 to 41
GREY YARN MAKE 6
1.-start 6 sc in a magic ring sl st in the first st. fasten off and leave a long tail. Sew to the body.
HAIR YELLOW YARN
With our tape measure, Cut 68 strands of 25 cm
With our hook attach all the yellow strands in FLO of rounds 47 and 48. see picture # 1 to 6.
HELMET GREY COLOR
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- 1 sc in each stitch around (6)
Rnd 3.- inc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 4.- * 1 sc, inc * rep 6 times (18)
Rnd 5.- * 2 sc, inc * rep 6 times (24)
Rnd 6.- * 3 sc, inc * rep 6 times (30)
Rnd 7.- * 4 sc, inc * rep 6 times (36)
Rnd 8.- * 5 sc, inc * rep 6 times (42)
Rnd 9.-* 6 sc, inc * rep 6 times (48)
Rnd 10-11 .- 1 sc in each stitch around (48)
Rnd 12.- FLO 1 hdc in each stitch around (48)
Rnd 13.- 1 sc in each stitch around (48)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
WINGS MAKE 2 WHITE COLOR
1.- Leave a long strand of yarn and make 8 chains, start in the 2nd chain from the hook and make 1 sl st, 6 sc. ch 1 and turn.
2.- 5 sc, chain 1 and turn
3.- 1 slip stitch, 4 sc, chain 1 and turn
4.- 3 sc, chain 1 and turn
5.- 1 slip stitch, 2 sc, chain 1 and turn
fasten off and make another one.
- Sew helmet in FLO of round 49. Stuff slightly before we closed.
- Sew wings to the sides.
CLOAK RED COLOR
1.- Make 21 chains
2-6.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn. (20)
7.- dec, 16 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (18)
8.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (18)
9.- dec, 14 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (16)
10-14.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (16)
15.- dec, 12 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (14)
16.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (14)
17.- dec, 10 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn (12)
18.- 1 sc in each st. ch 1 and turn (12)
19.- dec, 8 sc, dec. ch 1 and turn. (10)
20-21 .- 1 sc in each st. (10)
Single crochet all the way around the piece, increase in every corner.
Make 4 chains, 3 sc, 10 sc, 4 chains, 3 sc.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
HAMMER GREY COLOR
Rnd 1.- Start 8 sc in a magic ring (8)
Rnd 2.- *inc, 1 sc* rep 4 times (12)
Rnd 3.- * inc, 2 sc* rep 4 times (16)
Rnd 4.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
Rnd 5-10.- 1 sc in each stitch around (16)
Rnd 11.- BLO * dec, 2 sc* rep 4 times (12)
Rnd 12.- * dec, 1 sc* rep 4 times (8)
Stuff firmly and fasten off. with our yarn needle, we close the last round.
BROWN COLOR
Rnd 1.- Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2.- BLO 1 sc in each stitch around (6)
Rnd 3-7.- 1 sc in each stitch around (6)
Stuff firmly and fasten off.
Sew it to the hammer.
